The paper which was released in the beginning of April, 2016 by The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has made it impossible to say something about the textbook once and for all. On one hand, it is a little bit old and there is no latest study that proves this publication's current place across the globe. On another hand, we can say that this book is mostly about information and there are no spaces for illustrations or pictures; we will not be thinking about any new innovations within its pages – its content will always remain as it was. This text must be considered as a great additional source of knowledge for those people willing to pursue their academic studies at the English level without any pain or effort involved. This textbook will be a great help to those pupils who do not have a hard enough time with understanding the language's grammar or expressions they do not know at all. We will have to admit that this book was meant for kids. Although it can be considered as a textbook for adults as well, there is no point in doing that – this publication is more likely to be used by teenagers or students who already know how to speak English and want something similar to the conversational practice. After all, an official study of grammar rules cannot provide such opportunity – its main purpose is always finding out what you understand and what you do not understand. If you are not interested in some of the grammar rules, you can skip them out. That is why, Good English Student's Book seems to be more than enough for those who do not need the extra explanations or long paragraphs on some serious writing styles. You can always open this book on your own and find some examples that suit your needs. The same worth is given to the vocabulary part of this publication as well – there are no massive lists of words that you will have to learn at once. I mean, there is a huge amount of words inside these pages but they were divided into blocks according to their main features and then given a short description for each block. As a result, it is possible to read this book for quite a long period of time without being overwhelmed by the amount of information one must remember. This book was released by the Oxford University Press, which means that it is highly beneficial for those people who are interested in pursuing their academic career at this particular level. They can use this publication as the main textbook, reading every block separately and doing exercises related to them. If you are not interested in any exercises or do not have enough time for them every day, you can always skip them out and read the text at your own pace. Of course, this publication has its pros and cons alike. The pros are obvious – if you are not interested in any grammar rules, you will have no problem understanding the text. On the other hand, this textbook is not so well suited for people who are not fond of using English for academic reasons. The introduction to the book states "it is intended for students learning English at an intermediate level (previous knowledge of some grammar should be adequate). It can be used as a reference work or for independent study; it will also provide an introduction to linguistics". The book contains three parts: 'Language' (the first part), 'English Grammar' (the second part) and 'English Language' (the third part). cfa1e77820
